Ruth E. Haynes
Age 95, of East Canton died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in her home. Born February 28, 1921 in Canton, Ohio to the late George F. and Mary F. (Finley) Orner. She was a life resident of Stark County and attended Canton McKinley High School. Ruth was a faithful member of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church where she was active with the church council, choir and many activities with the church including quilting. She was also a member of Friendly Hills Women’s Club. Preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Shepherd; second husband, Raymond Haynes; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Jim Rainsberger of East Canton, Francie and Dave Seaman of East Canton, Lynn and Wayne Bessell of Florida; five sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Connie Shepherd of East Canton, Ronald and Patricia Shepherd of Massillon, Donald and Shelly Shepherd of Canton, Jerry and Lana Shepherd of Delroy, Terry and Sheila Shepherd of Malvern; 13 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday August 1, 2016 at 11:00 am in Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 930 S. Nickelplate St, Louisville, OH. 44641, with her son-in-law, David Seaman officiating. Interment in Kountze Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 pm in Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10-11 am. Memorial donations may be made to Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church.
