Ruth E. Douglas
Ruth E. Douglas, age 80, of East Canton died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in the Laurels of Massillon following a brief illness. Born in Canton, OH. on October 31, 1926 to the late Leo W. and Ella M. (Hafer) Dyer. She was an East Canton resident for the past 77 years and a 1945 graduate of East Canton High School. Retired from Osnaburg Local Schools. Member of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church where she was active with the Quilting Circle. Preceded in death by her husband, Duane H. Douglas in 2003. Survived by one son Marc Douglas of East Canton; brother-in-law and spouse, Leo and Kate Douglas of East Canton; sister-in-law, Vivian Spaulding of East Canton; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Laurels of Massillon and Aultman Hospice for the wonderful care given to Ruth. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Joseph Ertl officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm and one hour before the service one Thursday (12-1pm).
