Ruth E. Calhoun
Age 89, of Canton died Friday, May 23, 2014 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born July 3, 1924 in Mahaffey, PA. to the late Ralph and Effie (Donahue) Linsenbigler. She was a Canton resident most of her life and a member of North Industry Christian Church where she volunteered in numerous activities. Ruth was past president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post #440 and she served as a volunteer for Timken Mercy Hospital for 10 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph N. Calhoun in 2005; two brothers, Roy and Raymond Linsenbigler. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Dale Mottice of Canton, Jan and Russell Van Pelt of Richville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Jenny Calhoun of Canton; four grandchildren, Brian (Anna), Frank (Carrie), Jenny (Michael), Jaysson (Jacob); five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 – 8 pm.
