Ruth Britton
Age 85, of East Canton died Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. Born May 3, 1928 in Newland, NC. to the late Mose H. and Josephine (Pritchard) Burnette. She was an East Canton resident for the past 58 years and was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Britton in 1986; one sister, Betty Lou Burnette; three brothers, William, Paul Ray and Roy James Burnette. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dennis Blanc of Louisville, Linda Britton of East Canton, Deborah and Gordon Ryan of Louisville, Robyn Spencer of South Carolina, Cynthia and Donald Dougherty of Waynesburg; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Shelby Foss of Canton; one sister-in-law, Jean Burnette of Massillon. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Timothy Monteith officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
