Russell E. Unkefer
Age 79, of Minerva passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 19, 2016 following an extended illness. Born March 16, 1937 in Waynesburg, Ohio to the late Ralph and Bessie (Weaver) Unkefer. He was a Minerva resident for the past 51 years and a U.S. Army veteran. Russell retired form PCC Airfoils in 1999 with 43 years of service. He was a member of Indian Run Christian Church. Preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth A. (Butler) Unkefer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and James Murray, Wendy and Brian Simpson all of Minerva; five grandchildren, Kody (Misty) Murray, Paige (Alex) Murray, Alivia Murray, Riley Simpson, Connor Simpson; two great grandchildren, Jaylynn and Mackenzi; two brothers. A memorial service will be Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at 6:00 pm in the Indian Run Christian Church, 8368 Hill Church St SE, East Canton, OH. 44730, with Terry Bailey officiating.
