Roy F. "Skip" Young Jr.
Roy F. "Skip" Young Jr, age 68, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord, Friday December 15, 2006 in his home following an extended illness. He was born June 21, 1938 in Canton, OH to the late Roy F. and Mary Jane (Sprankle) Young. Skip served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Timken Company in 1995 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3228, Sandy Valley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Young on November 18, 2006; a special friend, Sonya Boron. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lori and Paul Pirolozzi of Mineral City, Rhonda Geer and her fiancee, Lloyd Troyer of Canton; five grandchildren, Gary and Jacob Cross, Ronald, James and Roy Geer; one brother, William Young of Canton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Bob Limbaucher of Dover, Mary Jane "Snooks" Swanson of Bolivar, Patricia and Ronald Porter of Orlando, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; three special friends, Steve Geer, Christina Friley and Ruth Pastore. Funeral services will be Sunday December 17, 2006 at 4:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Friends may call two hours before services on Sunday 2-4pm.
