Roy C. Syphers Sr.
Roy C. Syphers Sr., age 78, of Canton died Friday morning Nov. 12, 2004, in Canton Regency. Son of the late Dale and Florence (Mendenhall) Syphers. He was a Canton area resident for the past 50 years; retiring from the Timken Co. in 1984 after 30 years of service. Member of North Industry Christian Church and served as a volunteer fireman with the Canton Twp. Fire Dept, Station #1 for many years. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Survived by his wife, Judy A. (Geary) to whom he was married 51 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Roy "Chuck" and Kathy Syphers Jr. of Canton South; one daughter, Cathy Syphers of Canton; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Sabarina, Jason, Brooke, Katie and Spencer and one sister. Private family services will be Monday in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with interment in North Lawn Cemetery. There are no public services scheduled.
