Rowland G. Curtis Jr.
Age 75, of Canton died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Hanover House following a brief illness. Born November 8, 1935 in Dover, OH. to the late Rowland G. Sr. and Edith (Menapace) Curtis. He was a Canton resident since 1960 and a U.S. Army veteran. Rowland retired from H&H Auto Parts in 2010 with over 20 years of service. He was a member of Deuber United Methodist Church, Pandora Dance Club, Dover High School Class of 1953 lunch and the Mayfield Senior Center. Rowland was an avid ballroom dancer and loved to travel. Preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Janet Curtis in 2010; three infant sons; three sisters and one brother. Survived by his fiancée, Janice E. Robinson of Canton; two daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Dale Crabtree of Volcano, Hawaii, Christine Litman and fiancée, Bob Jones of Massillon; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jessica Curtis of Ranchero Cucamonga, CA; three grandchildren, Tessa and Tianna Litman, Natalie Curtis. Funeral services will be Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Dr. Chester Harris officiating. Interment in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 pm.
