Rosemary L Powell

Rosemary L. Powell, age 84, passed away peacefully at the Astoria Nursing home in Canton on November 30, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio on December 7, 1940 to the late Franklin E. Wardell Sr. and Rose A. (Nemthy) Wardell. 

Rosemary was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Canton. As a dedicated homemaker, she lovingly cared for her husband and daughters. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, where she truly shined. She also worked at the Polish Slovak Club and had a passion for bowling.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Lewis Powell; granddaughter, Crystal Jordan; brother, Frank E. Wardell Jr.; stepbrother, Walter Smith.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Milford “Mick” Powell Sr., with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage; daughters, Wendy (Richard) King, Robin (Richard) Meyer, Angela Powell, and Tracey Perez; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Rosemary’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Diana Thompson. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
