Ronald E. Young

Age 90, formerly of Louisville, passed away Saturday October 22, 2022 in Seville, OH. He was born August 25, 1932 in Canton to the late Theodore and Opal (Kidd) Young. Ronald was a 1950 graduate of Canton South High School and a graduate with a degree in elementary and religious education from Anderson College.  He retired from Perry High School in 1985 after 31 years of service. He was a member of the HEA, OEA and the Stark County Teachers Association. He was an active member of the East Canton Church of God where he continued his wife’s work in the church social and remembrance programs. Ronald served as a Sunday school teacher for 28 years and was a member of the choir and male quartet. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene G. Young in 2009; one daughter, Bonnie Lou Young; two brothers and their spouses, Thomas and Hazel Young, Robert and Gladys Young. Ronald is survived by one son, Roger Young (Joseph Santellana); one daughter, Sandra (Harlan) Ferguson; two grandchildren, Zachary (Liz) Oblisk and Katherine (Michael) Bath; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Oliver. A private family services will be in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
