Ronald L. Stokes
Age 73, of Canton, passed away Tuesday June 4, 2013 in Aultman Hospital. He was born August 30, 1939 in Canton to the late Harvey F. "Ching" and Alice J. (Heacock) Stokes. Ron was a life resident of the Canton area and was a self-employed Dental Technician. He was a member of North Industry Christian Church, Canton Lodge #60 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Canton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Thomas Stokes, Harvey and Nan Stokes. He is survived by his wife, A. Jane (Nannah) Stokes to whom he was married 44 years; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Lewis of Vermillion, OH, Gretchen and Eddie Whitt of Canton; three grandsons, Justin, Jared and Jason Lewis; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Stokes of Canton; one sister-in-law, Elsie Stokes; his canine companion, Lily; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be Friday June 7, 2013 at 11:00am in North Industry Christian Church with Steve Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the North Industry Christian Church with Masonic services at 4:45pm and one hour before services on Friday (10-11am) in the church. The family asks that in honoring Ron's memory you consider blood and or organ donation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Dialysis Center.
