Ronald E. Litman
Ronald E. Litman, age 90, of Canton, passed away Thursday February 5, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. He was born September 16, 1918 in Hannibal, OH. to the late Thomas Allen and Ethel E. (Webber) Litman. Ronald was a WWII Army veteran where he served in the infantry in Europe. He was a Canton area resident for more than 50 years and he and his wife spent many winters in Florida. He retired from Midwest Trucking in 1980 and was employed by The Beaver Excavating Company. He was a member of 38th St. Church of Christ and a former member of Market Ave. Church of Christ. He was a life member of St. Mihiel DAV #6. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sons, Randy Joe, Terry Lee and Arthur Litman; one daughter, Marcia Rae Litman; half-siblings, Robert, Denver, Grace, Hattie and Herbert; one brother, Jan Litman. He is survived by his wife, Edra E. (Devore) to whom he was married 64 years; two daughters-in-law, Lynn Litman McCoy and Kathy Litman Kirkman; five grandchildren, Ben and Justin of N. Canton, Cody, Taylor and Tessa of Magnolia; one great grandson, Joey Litman; one sister, Ada (Earl) Clegg; two brothers, Allen (Elda) Litman and Kenneth Litman; sister-in-law, Betty Litman; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday February 9, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Lance Lindenberger officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call two hours before services on Monday (12-2pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice at 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, OH 44708.
