Rev. Ronald Howard
Rev. Ronald Howard, age 68, of Canton died Thursday August 7, 2008 in his home following an extended illness. Born May 27, 1940 in Bryson City, NC. to the late Fred H. and Lona L. (Kilby) Howard. He was a Canton resident for the past 51 years. Ronald was the pastor of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church for the past 42 years. Preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Wade Howard. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Minnie "Billie" G. (Reagan) Howard; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Terry Howard of Canton, Harvey and Sher Howard of East Canton, Mark "Eddie" and Joan Howard of Canton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Jerry "Ty" Casto-Gowins, Raynetta "Joy" and George Weigand all of Canton; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Retha Sue (Ray) Radcliff, Barbara (Henry) Dettweilier all of Canton; four brothers, Dillard, Roger (Donna), Dennin (Dorothy) and Carroll (Doris) Howard all of Canton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Monday August 11, 2008 at 10:00 am in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Prairie College St. S.W., Canton, OH. 44706, with his son, Eddie Howard officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 3 – 8 pm in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
