Roger P. Everhart

Age 72 of Canton, following a long battle with Alzheimer's, received his gift of Heaven on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Born August 25, 1948 in Canton, Ohio to the late James and Jessie (Myer) Everhart. He was a 1967 graduate of Glenwood High School and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Roger retired from the Hoover Company in 2004 with 36 years of service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Everhart and one brother-in-law, Bud Redmond. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jeanne (Wohlford) Everhart; three children and spouses, Christy and Scott Buchheit, Kevin and Diell Everhart, Matthew and Alisha Everhart; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alekzander, Ava, Lucas and Owen; one sister, Glenda Redmond; one sister-in-law, Susan Everhart. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roger’s niece, Shelly and Community Hospice. A memorial service will be Friday Jan. 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Central Baptist Church, 4736 Tuscarawas St W., Canton, OH 44708, with Pastor Randy Newcomer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090, please note Roger Everhart’s name with your donation.
