Roger W. Cottrill
Roger W. Cottrill, age 85, of Canton, died Monday September 24, 2007 in the Windsor Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1922 in Weston, WV, to the late Wayne and Anna (Gum) Cottrill. Roger was a WWII Army veteran and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a Canton area resident since 1945 and retired from Canton Drop Forge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela Sue Cottrill; one brother, Ernest Cottrill; two sisters, Mary Margaret Morrison and Madeline Gordon. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sharon Cottrill of Mississippi; one daughter, Sharon Cottrill of Alabama; one brother, Kenneth Cottrill of Weston, WV; nieces, a nephew and one great niece. Funeral services will be Friday September 28, 2007 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association at 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd, suite 260, Independence, OH 44131.
