Robert D. Wagner Sr.

June 22, 1930 — September 7, 2015

Robert D. Wagner Sr.

Age 85, of Louisville, was reunited with his wife, Mary Lou on Monday September 7, 2015. Our ornery Bob passed away with his children, Debbie Gilpin, Robert Wagner Jr. and Jona Rodgers gathered by his side in his home. Bob retired from Canton Cut Stone in 1992 after 39 years of service. He was always busy helping friends, hunting deer or turkey at his cabin in Harrison County. He enjoyed fishing, bee keeping and telling funny stories to his countless would be friends. He was a man of many, many friends and loved his extended family at the Country Café in East Canton. Bob was dedicated to the Center Church of the Brethren and finally gave up mowing at the age of 84. Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Wagner to whom he was married 47 years; four brothers, Homer, Duane, Ben and Paul Wagner. In addition to his children, Bob is survived by one brother, George (Willie) Wagner; five sisters-in-law, Lena, Josephine, Alice, Shirley and Carol; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We will surely miss you Dad, but we know Mom is waiting with open arms. Funeral services will be Friday September 11, 2015 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home with Chaplain Ray Pfahler, Aultman Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends will be received Thursday 5-8pm and one hour before services on Friday (10-11am). Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at www.sandersfuneralhomes.com.
