Robert D. Shroyer

Robert D. Shroyer Sr. “Pap”, age 88, passed away on October 9, 2023 surrounded by his family.
 
He was born on November 6, 1934, in Jerome, Pennsylvania, to Melvin and Alma (Bowman) Shroyer.

Bob attended school at CTHS in Davidsville, Pennsylvania; he was employed by Republic Steel as a mill worker and truck driver; member of East Canton Church of God; Jenner-Rod and Mapletown Gun Clubs and will be remembered as a good cook.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, JoAnn (Gimroth) Shroyer; daughter, Diane (Joe) Eckroate; son, Robert Jr. (Susie) Shroyer; grandchildren, Cara (Joe) Birone, Ryan (Lisa) Eckroate, Devin (Max) Clapper, Dillon Young, Cami Changet, Billi Fete, Tommi (Jeff) Floyd, Bobbi Shroyer; great grandchildren, Nikolas, Charli, Gehrig, Madde, Abbie, Brantley, Audrey, Gianna, Maddix, Maverick, Eric; son-in-law, Chris (Cathy) Changet.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dawn Changet.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 1-2pm at the East Canton Church of God.  A funeral service will be held at 2pm at the church with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.

Robert will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Gardens at a later date.
