Robert Lynn Shimek
Age 53, of Dellroy, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2013 unexpectedly in his home. He was born May 14, 1960 in Canton to the late Joseph Robert and Mary Louise (Miday) Shimek. He was a 1978 graduate of St. Edwards High School and a life resident of Carroll County. Robert was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Morges where he had served as a lector and on the cemetery committee. He was a member of the American-Slovak Club and was a self-employed monument salesman. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Joseph Selogy of Massillon; two uncles and aunts, Lawrence A. and Carolyn Miday Jr. of Dellroy, John and Clara Miday of Waynesburg; and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday November 8, 2013 at 11:00am in St. Mary's Catholic Church of Morges with Fr. Anthony R. Batt as celebrant. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
