Robert G. Sewell
Age 89, of North Canton, passed away Saturday August 9, 2014 in his home. He was born April 24, 1925 in Zoarville, OH to the late Roy H. and Grace A. (Simpson) Sewell. Robert was a Canton area resident most of his life and was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. He retired from CSX Railroad in 1985 after 37 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Sewell in 2007; three brothers, Dale, Howard and Richard Sewell; one sister, Donna Robinson. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Debbie Sewell of Perry Twp.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia and Clinton Ashbaugh of Fruitland Park, FL., Peg Standish of Knox, PA; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bobby and Nicole Sewell, Michelle and Randy Perdew, Venus and Marvin Mikolajek, Shawn and Crystal Standish, Adam Standish and his fiancé, Katie Wolbert; six great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Nadelie, Jasmine, Camryn, Spencer and Ethan; one sister, Dorothy Dearth of Lodi, OH. Funeral services will be Thursday August 14, 2014 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park with military honors. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice.
