Robert E. Roush
Robert E. Roush, age 88, of Canton, passed away Sunday December 23, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. He was born September 17, 1919 in Magnolia, OH, to the late Forrest and Helen (Hossler) Roush. Robert was a Canton area resident most of his life and a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School. He was a WWII Army veteran having served with the medical corp. Robert was the founder and owner/operator of Crossroads Supermarket for 20 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of North Industry Christian Church where he served as an Elder, weekly greeter and treasurer for the Home Builders Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Forrest Roush. He is survived by his wife, Mona M. (Clark) to whom he was married 64 years; six children and their spouses, Robert C. and Joanne Roush of Tucson, AZ, Richard C. and Mary Beth Roush of Canton, Thomas D. and Carmela Roush of Dover, William A. Roush of Jackson Township, Barbara C. and Gerald Patterson of Sandyville, Johnathan and Vickie Roush of Chandler, AZ; 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Brooks of Hartville, Marian Albrecht of Navarre. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11:00am in the North Industry Christian Church with Steve W. Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 4-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services on Saturday at the church (10-11am).
