Robert L. Robertson
Age 69, of Canton, passed away Saturday October 1, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1942 to the late Harold and Esther (Sundblad) Robertson. Robert was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1960 graduate of McKinley High School. He served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Robert retired from the Diebold Company in 2002 after 42 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post #3747 and a former member of the Army/Navy Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kylie Marie Robertson. He is survived by his wife, Josephine M. (Fomich) to whom he was married 49 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and James Duff of Middleburg Heights, OH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick Robertson of Canton, Richard and Lorie Robertson of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Joseph, David, Marie, Amanda, Sydney and Lucas; one sister and brother-in-law, Dee and John Carns of Paris, OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 4, 2011 at 3:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave with Msgr Lewis Gaetano officiating. Friends may call 2 hours before services (1-3pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post #3747 at 1935 Avalon Ave NE, Canton, OH 44705.
