Robert C. Norris
Age 83, of Canton, passed away Monday March 26, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born December 15, 1928 in Bellaire, OH to the late Roy and Edna (Snyder) Norris. Robert was a Canton area resident for the past 60 years, retiring from Fresh Mark Inc. (formerly Sugardale Foods) in 1990 after 38 years of service. He was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of the Moose Chapter #233, Canton, Independent Order of Foresters and Teamsters Local # 92. Robert was an avid bowler for many years and with his wife, Ginny, he traveled throughout the country in their motor home. Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia R. "Ginny" (Borek) to whom he was married 63 years; four children and their spouses, Alan and Donna Norris of Ravenna, Craig and Nancy Norris of Powhatan, VA, Tina and Gregg Phillips of North Canton, Scott and Janice Norris of Rockford, MI; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Kris, Katelyn, Heather, Katie, Megan, Connor, Garyson, Jennifer and Michele; 4 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Soren, Aidan and Connor. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chester Bartram and Dr. Shruti Trehan for their wonderful long-term care, Dr. Steven Grossman and Dr. Jeffrey Miller for their care. Funeral services will be Friday March 30, 2012 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark Humane Society at 5100 Peach St, Louisville, OH 44641.
