Robert S. Morrison
Age 88, of Canton died Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. Born September 21, 1925 in Curtin, WV. to the late Clarence and Edith Morrison. He was a Canton resident most of his life. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII serving on the USS Murray and was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company and had previously been employed by Spitzer Chevrolet. Preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Morrison in 1995; one son, Mark Morrison; three brothers, Leon, Ralph and Duane. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Ruth Morrison of Canton; two grandchildren and spouses, Kim and Ken Richards of Carrollton, Bob and Russtina Morrison of Canton; two great grandchildren, Justin Kidd and Anastasia Morrison; one brother, Lynn Morrison; two sisters, Linda Fogle and Mable Smalley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 pm.
