Robert D. Montgomery
Robert D. Montgomery, age 69, of Canton, died Sunday August 21, 2005, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Yonkers, NY, to the late Joseph S. and Beatrice (McCarthy) Montgomery. He was a Canton area resident most of his life, 1955 graduate of Canton South High School, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Hercules Engines and a member of Perry Christian Church. A member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 233 and the U.A.W. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline J. Montgomery in 2004. Survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Teresa Montgomery of New Waterford, OH, James and Pamela Montgomery of Akron, Joseph and Angela Montgomery of Canal Fulton; one granddaughter, Callie Noelle Montgomery of Akron; one sister, Johanna Middleton of Canton; one brother, Bruce Montgomery of N. Canton; one uncle, James Montgomery of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave S, with Rev. Craig Ott officiating. Internment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday 7-9pm in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Perry Christian Church at 139 Perry Dr NW, Canton, OH 44708.
