Jones, Robert L.
Age 77, of Canton died Friday, February 13, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center. Born January 6, 1932 in Cambridge, OH. to the late William and Thelma (Johnson) Jones. He was a 1950 graduate of Bowerston High School and a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He was a Canton area resident most of his life and retired from the Timken Company in 1980 after 30 years of service. Robert was a member of Howenstine Christian Church. Preceded in death by one brother, Carl Dean Jones; one sister, Karen Kirkman. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelena C. (Tolley) Jones; two daughters, Patsy (James) Shuman of Franklin, NC, Judy Jones-McCown (David) of Louisville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Chris Davis officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm.
