Robert D. "Tony" Hoffer
Robert D. "Tony" Hoffer, age 77, of East Canton, died Monday May 16, 2005 in his home. Son of the late Edward and Rena (Hammond) Hoffer. He was an East Canton area resident since 1964, retiring from Republic Steel in 1968 after 26 years of service. Member of Living Hope Church where he served as Trustee. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one beloved daughter, Catherine Wilcox; three grandchildren; one brother and one sister. Survived by his wife, Gladys W. (Rupert) to whom he was married 58 years; four daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Larry Denning of Waterford, OH, Judy and Daryl Kirkpatrick of East Canton, Linda and David Allen of Canton, Patty and Ralph "Buddy" Hooper of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Theresa (Gaddis) Hoffer of Canton; one son-in-law, James Wilcox of Marlboro, OH; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00pm in Living Hope Church at 327 Trump Ave NE, East Canton, OH 44730 with Pastor Duane Miller officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8pm in the Church and one hour before services at the church on Thursday (12-1pm). The Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their help, and loving care for Bob. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
