Hinderer, Robert H. "Bob"
age 89, of East Canton, passed away Monday April 27, 2009 in Bethany Nursing Home. He was born November 7, 1919 in Canton to the late Elmer E. and Jeanette (Bushman) Hinderer. Bob was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School and a resident of East Canton since 1942. He was the retired owner/operator of Tropic-Air Stoker, Inc for 65 years and was very proud of his mentorship to the many young employees throughout the years. He was a former member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Minerva Chamber of Commerce and the East Canton Board of Public Affairs. Member of the East Canton Lion's Club where he was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Mae Hinderer in 2008; one sister, Esther Parkey; three brothers, Ralph, Glenn and Charles Hinderer. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Polly Hinderer of N. Canton; two grandchildren and spouse, Darin Hinderer of N. Canton, Cheryl and Peter Rackov of N. Canton; six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan and Brandon Hinderer, P.J., Hannah and Rachel Rackov; one sister-in-law, Wanda Hinderer of Canton. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. A private family committal service will conducted on Friday.
