Robert L. Harrison

Age 82, of Louisville, passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 in Alliance Community Hospital. He was born November 10, 1936 in Mingo Junction, OH to the late George and Sophia (Winski) Harrison. Robert was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He retired from American Electric Power/ Ohio Power after 42 years of service. He was an active member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where he had formerly served on the board of trustees. Member of Caldwell Lodge #330 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, Tadmor Shrine, American Legion Post #548, Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie #2347, Canton Edgefield AARP #2267, Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, Louisville Friends of the Library, Canton Ex-Newsboys Association and the Ohio Power Retirees. Robert is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Harrison; one brother, Ronald Harrison; one sister, Sharyn Swedlund; special aunt, Sarah Pugh. He is survived by his wife, Eileen M. (Tschabold) to whom he was married 12 years; two daughters, Debra Biggs and Marsha (Thurman) Elkins; two grandchildren, Chelsea Elkins and Cory Elkins. Funeral services will be Thursday December 13, 2018 at 11:00am in Otterbein United Methodist Church at 6025 Shepler Church Rd., Navarre, OH 44662 with Rev. Ralph R. Krall officiating. Friends and family will be received Wednesday 1-3 and 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services on Thursday at the church (10-11am). Burial will be Friday at 11:00am in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church or the Aultman Hospice Program.
