Age 74, of Canton died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Laurels of Canton following an extended illness. Born August 14, 1940 in Canton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mary (Jolliff) Graham. He was a life resident of Canton and wintered in Naples, Florida for a number of years. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Canton South High School where he was an outstanding four sport athlete and a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a 1962 graduate of Heidelberg College where he participated in football, basketball and Golf and was awarded the Pugh Prize for Athletics as Most Valuable Athlete his senior year. Bob completed his Master's Degree in School Administration from the University of Akron. He retired in 1992 from Canton Local Schools where he served as a teacher, coach and administrator for 30 years. Bob was a member of North Industry Christian Church, Canton South Community Men's Club, formerly Canton South Kiwanis, where he served as president multiple times. He was a former member and past president of Northeast Ohio Basketball Officials Association. Additionally, Bob was a member of the Myers Lake Sportsman's Club, Hall of Fame Luncheon Club and the Canton Local Golf League. He was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed times fishing at his cottage in Canada. Preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Martin. He is survived by his wife, Susan W. (Gordon) Graham, who he met while attending Heidelberg College and with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on November 28, 2014. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Roberta Graham of Jackson Township; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and David Dastoli of Canfield; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nicholas Dastoli, Robert and Michael Graham. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 5 – 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Canton South Advanced Education Foundation, 908 Faircrest Street SW, Canton, OH. 44706.
