Estep, Robert L.
age 88, of Canton, passed away Monday June 15, 2009 in Hanover House following a brief illness. He was born October 20, 1920 in Blakeley, WV, to the late Roy and Ortha (Rider) Estep. Robert was a Canton area resident most of his life and retired from The Timken Company. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Estep in 1995; one son, Norman Estep; two daughters, Marie Whalen and Lenora Bechtol; one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters. He is survived by two sons, Clarence Estep of Canton, Rick Estep of Massillon; one daughter, Nancy Estep of Canton; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Diane) Estep of West Salem, OH; one sister, Naomi (Wilbert) Taylor of Summerville, WV; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday June 18, 2009 at 1:00pm in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Friends may call one hour before services at the church (12-1pm). Entombment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
