Robert L. Chesser
Age 81, of Canton died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born February 12, 1933 in Cambridge, OH. to the late Richard and Leola (Milhoun) Chesser. He was a Canton resident most of his life and a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He retired from Republic Steel in 1985 with 34 years of service. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Clara E. (Dunbar) Chesser; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Theresa Chesser of Canton; one daughter, Stacey Meredith of Louisville; four grandchildren, Jason, Rene, Trevor and Tyler; two great grandsons, Ethan and Evan; one brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Nina Chesser of Troutsville, VA. Funeral services will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5 – 8 pm.
