Robert Paul Brooks
Age 84, of Kidron, OH. died at his home on Thursday, January 13, 2011. Born June 22, 1926 in New Matamoras, OH. to the late Charles W. and Nettie A. (Bradshaw) Brooks. Paul most recently was a resident of Kidron prior to which he was an East Canton resident. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and retired from Ford Motor Company in 1982 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Valley Chapel Brethren in Christ Church. Paul thought a lot of his church family, his flea market friends and his Amish neighbors. Preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Krider; three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Debbie Brooks of Paris, OH; two daughters and son-in-law, Susan and James Rohr of Massillon, Connie Krider of East Canton; six grandchildren; two great grandsons; three brothers, John (Margaret) Brooks of Raytown, MO., Jack Brooks of Canton, Donnie (Faye) Brooks of Canton; one sister, Mary Jeisler of Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Valley Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, 1045 Trump Ave. N.E., East Canton, OH. 44730, with Dr. Charles Burkett officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday at the church from 5-7 pm. Interment will be Tuesday, Jan 18, 2011 at 11:30 am in Matamoras Cemetery in New Matamoras, OH.
