Rixon D. "Rick" Ross
age 61, of Canton, passed away Monday February 15, 2010 in Wooster Sub Acute Care. He was born May 28, 1948 in Canton to Walter Ross and Eleanor (Antenucci). Rick was a life resident of Canton and a 1966 graduate of Canton South High School. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. Rick was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton, American Legion Post #44, Atwood Beagle Club and a life member of DAV St. Mihiel Chapter 6. Rick loved the game of baseball; he coached in both Hot Stove and the American Legion leagues. He truly enjoyed running beagles at the area field trials. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Ross; step-father, Edward McCullough; several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Linda A. (Wnoroski) to whom he was married 35 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Teri Ross of N. Canton; three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jacob and Emma Ross; step-granddaughter, Candace Riley; his mother, Eleanor McCullough of Altamonte Springs, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Michelle Ross of Canton; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Tom Williams of Massillon, Sharon Nicholls of Canton, Susan McCullough of Florida, Cindy and Richard Weese of Florida, Barbara McCullough of Florida; special friend, Rick Hager of Canton; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday February 19, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
