Rick W. Clapper
Age 51, of East Canton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday June 17, 2014 in his home following an extended illness. He was born May 13, 1963 in Canton to Richard W. and Darlene I. (Walker) Clapper. Rick was a life resident of East Canton and a 1982 graduate of East Canton High School. He was the former owner/operator of Rick Clapper Trucking, employed by Medina Supply; most recently he was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation. He had attended the Canton Baptist Temple. Rick loved working on the family farm, he had a true passion for trucks, tractors and anything that made them run faster. He is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene I. Clapper in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Renee M. (Bowling) to whom he was married 27 years; two sons, Josh Clapper and his fiancé, Chelsea Burton, Matt Clapper; father and step-mother, Richard "Dick" and Flo Clapper; three sisters, Cindy Topp, Debie and Jerry Davidson, Cherie and Mike Mountain; his grandmothers, Margaret Hartmann and Ethel Eagleson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Gerry Bowling; two brothers-in-law, six nieces and two nephews. A private family service will be conducted in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Thomas W. Shank officiating. Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
