Richard Samuel "Sam" Snyder
Age 80, of East Canton, passed away unexpectedly Monday May 19, 2014 in his home. Sam was born September 24, 1933 in Osnaburg Township to the late Donald and Mildred (Engle) Snyder. He was a life resident of the East Canton area and a Korean War Army veteran. Sam was a member of Indian Run Christian Church. He was the co-owner/operator of C & G Painting for more than 30 years and was formerly employed by TRW. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Gerald "Bud" Snyder; one sister, Olive Fallot. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Goerke) to whom he was married 53 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Rick Blair of Norton; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Judy Snyder of N. Canton; two sisters, Geraldine Ridgeway of Minerva and Katherine Mottice of East Canton. Funeral services will be Thursday May 22, 2014 at 11:00am in Indian Run Christian Church with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery.
