Richard R. “Dick” Hamilton
Age 84, of Canton, passed away Saturday December 24, 2016 in Aultman Compassionate Care. He was born August 4, 1932 in Bridgeport, OH to the late Glancie and Marguerite (Gheen) Hamilton. Dick was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran where he was awarded 5 bronze stars. He retired from East Ohio Gas after 30 years of service and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Hamilton; one sister, Marjorie Coulson. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Ileene (Bible) to whom he was married 63 years; four children and their spouses, Richard and Kathy Hamilton, Russell Hamilton, Vickie and Mark Springer, Michelle and Jay Tindall; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday December 30, 2016 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas W. Shank Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends will be received one hour before services on Friday (10-11am).
