Richard D. “Dick” Morrison

Age 82, of Canton died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born March 18, 1936 in Caldwell, Ohio to the late Jesse Dean and Mary (Hizer) Morrison. He was a Canton resident most of his life and retired from the Timken Company in 1993 with 38 years of service. He was a member of St Mary’s/ St Benedict Catholic Parish, Sandy Valley Eagles and an associate member of the VFW, Navarre. Preceded in death by his son, Scott Morrison and sister, Audrea Morrison. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis M. (McDermott) Morrison; two daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Morrison, Dawn and Scott Harris; four grandchildren, Ryan (Thuy) Harris, Brendon Harris, Erin Harris, AnnaSophia Harris; one great grandson, Nicholas Harris; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and David Hutton, Shelia and Dave Reed; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Debbie Morrison; numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at 10:00 am in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Canton with Fr Benson Okpara and Fr Don Feicht Concelebrants. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2 – 4 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
