Richard L. "Mac" McMillen, Sr.
Richard L. "Mac" McMillen, Sr, age 65 of Canton died Monday, February 25, 2008 in his home following a brief illness. Born February 6, 1943 in Canton to the late Arthur R. and Christy A. (Lapp) McMillen. He was a life resident of Canton and a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the Timken Company in 1996 with 30 years of service. Mac was a life member of VFW Post #3747 and member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 141. Preceded in death by one brother, Don McMillen; two sisters, Grace Tzortzakis and Eileen Taylor. Survived by his wife of 29 years, Ruth A. (Riehl) McMillen; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gary Roberts, Kathy and Jim Burris, Chris Milnes; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard McMillen, Jr, Sgt. Shawn and Lacey McMillen, Sgt. Kelly and Traci McMillen; nine grandchildren, Tami, Daniel, Jason, Jami, Dylan, Bradley, Peyton, Mallory and Emma; five great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Momirov, Wilma and Rich Guarendi; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Carolyn Nichols officiating. Interment with military honors in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm.
