Richard D. Gauze
Age 81, of Canton, passed away Friday October 20, 2017 in his home. He was born May 27, 1936 in Howenstine, OH to the late Harry and Lois (Snyder) Gauze. Richard was a 1956 graduate of Canton South High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Canton Local Schools in 1999 after 20 years of service and Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities after 10 years of service. He is preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Bob, Tom and Jimmie Gauze; one sister Elizabeth Dieringer. Richard is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Meola) Gauze to whom he was married 53 years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Manuel Nunez, Michele and Scott Anderson; three grandchildren, Hannah and Manuel Nunez and Carter Anderson; two sisters, Barbara Stephens and Annalee Merryman; one sister-in-law, Shirley Gauze. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
