Richard D. Freday
Age 85 was born October 15, 1936 in Canton, Ohio and passed away March 16, 2022 in Allay Senior Care after suffering a stroke. He was a U.S Army veteran. Richard was a retired bus driver with the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Canton. One thing Richard really like to do was to put his earphones on and listen to music, any kind of music. Preceded in death by his foster parents who raised him, Homer and Gertrude Aman and sister, Mary Adolph; brothers, Blaine, Paul and Cel Aman. He is also preceded in death by his biological parents, Ray and Hilda Freday; sister, Sonya Pfalzgraf; brothers, Chuck, Bill, Russell, Louie and Leslie Freday. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Freday; four children, Richard D Jr. (Sue) Freday, Michele (Jeff) Foster, Brenda (Kevin) Bowen, Daniel (Lindsay) Freday; grandchildren, Matt (Julie) Freday, Tyler (Fiancée, Holly Hilliker) Freday, Nick (Kate) Freday, Justin, Chad and Katie Foster, Seth Alec, and Claire Bowen, Luke, Paige and Emily Freday; great grandchildren, Mason, Josie and Sylas Freday; sisters, Dolly Boydelatour and Susan Testa; brothers, Don, Niles, and Mike (Sandy) Freday; numerous generations of nieces and nephews. Although Richard was only at Allay just a few days, the family was very grateful for the wonderful and caring staff at Allay especially, Melissa. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 10:00 am in St Mary’s Catholic Church, 1602 Market Ave S, Canton, OH 44707. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Memorial donations may be made to St Mary/St Benedict Parish.
