Richard D. Chambers, Sr.
Age 66, of Canton died Friday, December 10, 2010 in Select Specialty Hospital following an extended illness. Born October 3, 1944 in Preston County, WV. to the late William and Valley (Nestor) Chambers. He was a Canton resident since 1999 prior to which he resided in Akron for 38 years. Richard retired from Gentzler Tool and Die Company in 2004 with over 30 years of service. Preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Chambers. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorna J. (Hill) Chambers; two sons, Richard D. Chambers, Jr. and Casey Chambers both of Canton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Rick Anderson of North Canton, Eileen and Roger Mayberry of Canton, Beth Chambers of Canton; six grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, David, Nathan, Morgan and Jacob; five great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Nola Chambers, Robert and Jenny Chambers, Franklin and Delores Chambers, Samuel and Roberta Chambers, Dan Chambers, Jim and Janet Chambers; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joann and Lawrence Stieringer, Janet Chambers, Patricia and Greg Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Bob McCue and Bishop Arnold Mullins officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm.
