Richard L. Brahler
Richard L. Brahler, age 82, of Canton, died Sunday June 3, 2007 in Legends Care Center following a brief illness. He was born August 26, 1924 in Canton, to the late Clement and Helen (Maple) Brahler. He was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1942 graduate of McKinley High School. Richard retired from The Timken Company in 1983 after 36 years of service. He greatly enjoyed raising Beagles and participating in field trials; he was an avid gardener. He was a member of the Buckeye Beagle Club and the Pleasant Valley Beagle Club where he had served as treasurer. Richard was a WWII Marine Corps Veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Don Brahler. He is survived by his wife, Mildred C. (Weigle) to whom he was married 59 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Judge Lee Sinclair of Louisville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Lynne Brahler of North Canton, Todd Brahler of Dayton; four grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds, Kelly McGrew, Margo Brahler and Douglas Brahler; one great grandson, Billy Reynolds; three cousins, June Rohrer, Ed Flick and Eugene Maple. Funeral services will be Thursday June 7, 2007 at 10am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Ed Barnes officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm.
