Rev. Thomas L. Dooley
Rev. Thomas L. Dooley, age 81, of Canton, departed this life and went home to be with his Lord, December 22, 2007 in his home. He was born May 24, 1926 in Portsmouth, OH, to the late Rosco and Esther (McCormick) Dooley. The years of his life were spent in the service of Christ his Lord. He was ordained in the International Pentecostal Church of Christ where he served faithfully for over 68 years, holding numerous positions with the conference as well as pasturing local congregations in Ohio and Kentucky. He retired from the Canton Church of I.P.C.C. (Crossview Worship Center) after 23 years as Pastor. Rev. Dooley was a 1942 graduate of Faith Bible Institute in Ashland, KY, and was a Canton resident since 1966. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Dooley. He is survived by his wife, Sarabelle (Shotts) to whom he was married 61 years; one son, Thomas Edward Dooley of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Retta and Don Hubbard of Canton; two grandsons, Steve Hubbard of Louisiana, Brent and his wife, Stephanie Hubbard of London, OH; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Ava Grace Hubbard of London, OH; one brother, Obal Dooley of Marion, OH; one sister, Loretta Helderbrand of Portsmouth, OH. Funeral services will be Thursday December 27, 2007 at 1:00pm in Crossview Worship Center, 1520 Mill St. S.W., Canton, OH.44706 with Bishop Clyde Hughes, Rev. Lindsey Hayes and Rev. Denny Hazen officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.
