Rev. Norman D. Cox Sr.
Age 84, of North Industry, passed away February 14, 2016 peacefully in his home with his children by his side. He was born June 3, 1931 in Enon, Pa. to the late Howard and Sara Cox. He is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Cox to whom he was married 62 years; an infant son, Norman Dale Cox Jr; four brothers, Paul, Eugene, Chuck and Donald Cox; three sisters, Margarete Bell, Violet Murphy and Betty Barnhart- Dinsmore; grandson, Quinton Crim. He is survived by five daughters, Debbie (Joe) Scarpino, Sandy (Fred) Perrenoud, Brenda Holub, Linda (John) Norris and Delores (Ken) Shaver; one son, Norman Dean Cox; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren: one brother, Gaylord Cox. Norman retired from Republic Steel (Bull Gang) and had been the Pastor of Vo-Ash Chapel in Carrollton, Ohio. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. Norman loved playing and singing music at local nursing homes, preaching, but his deepest passion was his family and serving God. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with his brother, Rev Gaylord Cox officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
