Dr. Rev. A. Edward Hylton
Age 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday January 27, 2012 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 14, 1936 in Richlands, VA to the late Roy Edward and Lona (Bucklin) Hylton. Eddie was a Canton area resident most of his adult life and received his BTH, MRE and Doctorate in Divinity from Missouri School of Ministry. He served as Pastor at Sword of Spirit Faith Center for 40 years and retired from the Diebold Company in 1984 after 30 years of service. Eddie was a man of great faith; he loved the Lord and the ministry, spending many hours studying God's word. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde and Buford Rasnake, James M. Hylton; one sister, Banna Boyd; one niece, Ann Hill. He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. (Marks) to whom he was married 55 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Dave Teeple of East Sparta; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew E. and Rhonda Hylton II of Waynesburg; three grandsons, Aaron and William Teeple, Andrew E. Hylton III; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jess B. Hylton of N. Canton; three sisters, Hazel Peters of Robertsville, Ruth Osborne of Abingdon, VA, Dorothy Compton of Honaker, VA; a special nephew, Benjamin Compton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday January 30, 2012 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave with Andrew E. Hylton II and Andrew E. Hylton III officiating.
