Raymond A. Taylor

Age 82, of Canton, passed away Sunday February 11. 2018 in the Lodge at New Dawn. He was born November 1, 1935 in Welch, WV to the late Orville and Lelia (Johnson) Taylor. Raymond proudly retired from the U.S. Navy where he had served several tours of duty and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Canton City Schools after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple, American Legion and VFW. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Corinne Taylor in 1993; second wife, Cordie Lou Taylor in 2017; one brother, James Surber; one step-son, Robert Martin. Raymond is survived by one step-daughter, Joan Rhodes; one step-son, John (Kathy) Martin; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Pam) Taylor and Charles Surber; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday February 16, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial with military honors in Melscheimer Cemetery.
