Raymond J. Kahler
Age 89, of East Canton, passed away Saturday March 26, 2011 in Aultman Hospital. He was born June 24, 1921 in Canton to the late Emry and Lettie (Kiem) Kahler. Raymond was a life resident of East Canton where he was a lifelong farmer and livestock transporter. He was an extremely hard worker who loved his family and truly enjoyed horses and chopping wood. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Miller and Gladys Watkins; three brothers, Orin, Marvin, Harold Kahler and an infant brother. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Richard Offineer of East Canton, Joanne and Larry Shepler of Uniontown, Nancy and Robert Morrison of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Laura (Jim) Vertoli, Mark Offineer, Kristine (Steven) Wolfe, Brian (Nancy) Shepler, Jeffrey (Brigette) Shepler, Traci Morrison and Robert Morrison; eight great-grandchildren, Staci and Adam Vertoli, Melissa, Ryan and Jessica Wolfe, Megan and Haley Shepler, Ella Morrison; one brother, John "Dick" Kahler of East Canton; a special friend, Kate Hudy of East Canton. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 30, 2011 at 1:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Joe Wright officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
