Randy E. Reed

Age 57 of East Canton passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 6, 2021, in his home. He was born August 17, 1964, in Canton to the late Donald and Mary J. (Nimon) Reed. Randy was a 1982 graduate of East Canton High School and had attended Stark State College. He was employed by the Title One Agency, Inc. and previously by American Title. He was a member and past president of the East Canton Rotary and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow. Randy had served as a volunteer with the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival serving as Chairman of both the Ribs Burn Off and the Jackson Belden Balloon Classic. He was a member of the Stark Trumbull Area Board of Realtors. He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan K. Reed in 2018. Randy is survived by his spouse, Jay B. Anderson; stepdaughter, Katelin Anderson (her fiancé, Cody Geasley); two sisters, Deborah Shiplett and Darlie (Joe) Owens; two nephews, Matthew (Christy) Owens and Jeffery (Anny) Owens; one niece, Tanya Shiplett; his pet companions, The Duke, Duchess, Ollie, Will and Grace. Funeral services will Saturday November 13, 2021, at 11:00am in the Indian Run Christian Church at 8368 Hill Church St SE., East Canton, OH 44730 with Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Robertsville Cemetery. Friends and family will be received Friday 5-8pm in the church and one hour before services on Saturday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Sheriff Canine Unit at 4500 Atlantic Blvd NE, Canton, OH 44705 or your local Humane Society.
