Rachel Lynn Gessel
Age 29, formerly of Canton, passed away Sunday August 12, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, OH. She was born February 20, 1983 in Canton to Frank A. Gessel and Sharon (Mayes). Rachel had attended Rebecca Stallman Southgate School and had resided in Maumee for the last several years. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Glenn Mayes, Henry and Letha Gessel. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sharon and Danny Mullane of Canton South; father and step-mother, Frank A. and Alice Gessel of Massillon; one brother, Eric Gessel; step-brother, Derek and Melissa Mullane; step-sister, Danielle Mullane; two step-brothers; grandmother, Betty Mayes of Canton; aunts and uncles, Larry and Carol Price, Jeff and Karen Shuster, Steve and Jane Anderson. The family would like to thank Melissa and Megan, Linda Dittman and the staff at Sunshine Children's Home, Bill and Sheri in the ICU at St. Luke's Hospital for their wonderful care and a special thank you to Yakov Ravin for his special attention extended to Rachel. Friends and family may gather Sunday August 26, 2012 at 1:00pm in the Spiritual Life Center at Sunshine Children's Home to honor Rachel's life.
