Quention Hale,
Quention Hale, age 83, of Canton, passed away in his home early Sunday morning following a short illness. Born January 26, 1921 in Martin County, KY, son of the late W.S. and Ella (Webb) Hale. He was a resident of Canton for the past 51 years and a Army World War II veteran. Formerly employed by Ruble Construction and retired from LTV Steel Berger Division in 1982 after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by three brothers, Edsel, Everett and Ellis Hale. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Jean (Farney); one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Edward Smith of Canton; two sons, Dana Hale of Lakewood, OH and Mark Hale of Charlotte, NC; one grandson and spouse, Keith and Lisa Smith of Lakewood; one granddaughter, Trina Smith of Canton; one greatgrandson, Owen Smith of Lakewood; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Daphene Hale of Columbus, Jack and Betty Hale of Dover, Leonard Hale of Nevada, Jim and Judy Hale, Sam and Karen Hale and Ronnie Hale all of Oak Hill, OH; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Davidson of Christianburg, OH, Betty Jo and Earl Harmon of Kentucky, Patty and Charles Romans of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 11 am in Northlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 pm, in the Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of your choice.
